Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to introduce Fenmoor Golf Club, the community’s eighth championship course and its next bold step in delivering premier private club experiences. Designed by acclaimed golf course architect Steve Smyers, Fenmoor will be a members-only course set to open in Fall 2026.

Located in the northeast corner of the 12,000-acre community, the site features a rich, varied landscape shaped by the headwaters of Lake Oconee. Rolling hills and wooded banks give way to marshes and meadows where Richland Creek splits and spills through the terrain—creating a dramatic setting where water doesn’t just border the land, it defines it. With nine greens positioned along the shoreline and sweeping lake views throughout, Fenmoor promises a golf experience that feels both grounded in nature and elevated in challenge.

Smyers’ thoughtful design will blend seamlessly into the land, emphasizing native grasses, topography, and strategic shot values to create a course that is both visually stunning and rewarding for players of all skill levels. In addition to the 18-hole championship layout, Fenmoor will feature a dedicated putting course, numerous short-game areas, and expansive practice facilities.

To complement the golf experience, Reynolds has engaged BLUR Workshop, the nationally acclaimed architecture and interior design firm, to envision a new clubhouse. The facility will include a restaurant and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms and lounges, terraces, and gathering areas—all thoughtfully designed to echo the course’s natural setting and provide a welcoming, elegant retreat for members and their guests.

Together, the course and clubhouse represent Reynolds Lake Oconee’s continued commitment to excellence, natural beauty, and exceptional member experiences. As construction begins, anticipation builds for a course that honors the land and elevates the game—crafted by one of golf’s most respected architects and inspired by the spirit of the Reynolds community.

FENMOOR

COURSE ROUTING

Located in the northeast section of Reynolds Lake Oconee, Fenmoor will be accessed via a new parkway and bridge via a new road being constructed the left upon entering the Reynolds Parkway gate. Construction is ongoing, with work on the bridge set to begin soon. The golf course itself will reside just north of the new parkway and south of Highway 44.

Fenmoor’s layout will take full advantage of its distinctive setting at the Richland Creek headwaters of Lake Oconee. The site offers a mix of low, marshy areas along the water’s edge and rolling, elevated terrain with views of the lake. This dramatic topography has shaped a routing where 13 holes begin, run alongside, or finish at the water’s edge - including three holes that cross over the lake. Throughout the round, the lake and surrounding landscape will be ever-present, creating a truly immersive experience.

Course designer Steve Smyers brings a philosophy based on working with the natural movement of the land and the thoughtful use of the existing landscape. His approach blends this with strategic bunkering, contrasting grass and plant varieties, and visual cues that guide players through each hole while enhancing the beauty of the environment. To help achieve this vision, native plants and grass varieties will be used beneath trees and around bunkers, flowing into TifTuf Bermuda rough, Zeon Zoysia tees and fairways, and TifEagle Bermuda greens.

Can you share w/ BG & BN to get eyes on once it’s live?  I don’t want the header to be overcrowded with buttons and click-throughs in effort to drive Members to the individual areas containing more information we will expand upon.
